Tsumeb Museum

The Tsumeb Museum is a tribute to the history of Tsumeb. The museum is now a national monument and offers an insight into a bygone era with local treasures on display.

For geology and history enthusiasts, the museum is a must-see. Visitors can learn about Tsumeb’s mining industry and its history. If interested, you can also visit a mine via the museum.

The restored artillery and other artifacts of the Shutztruppe recovered from the Otjikoto lake. These were dumped into the lake during World War 1 so that it would not fall into the hands of the Allied forces.

This museum is well worth a visit.
