Situated halfway between the capital Windhoek and the Etosha National Park, the 55,000 acre Okonjima Game Reserve has some of the best accommodation in Namibia, but the highlight has to be the cheetah and leopard safaris.

Namibian safaris are truly wonderful and as The AfriCat Foundation rehabilitates cheetahs, wild dogs hyenas and leopards, there are opportunities to see these beautiful carnivores in their natural environment.

Full Board: Bush Camp, Villa & Bush Suite

  • Inclusive of activities, dinner, bed, brunch and house-drinks
  • Excludes night-drives, premier drinks & imported brands, curios & extras
  • Activities included:
  • One-nighters: 1 trail on day of arrival; 1 trail on day of departure.
  • Two-nighters: 2 activities per day = 4 trails.

Half-Board: Plains Camp

Campers

Campers only participate in a visit to AfriCat's Information & Carnivore Care Centre. If Campers stay 2 nights, The Bushman Trail and Self-guided Walking trails in the Omboroko Mountains are also on offer.

  • Take the B1 Northwards
  • Just after the sign "Otjiwarongo 50km" turn right onto the gravel road
  • After 10 km enter the gate of Okonjima Nature Reserve and continue a further 14 - 16 km to Okonjima Lodge.

From Otjiwarongo

  • Take the B1 Southwards
  • Just after the sign "Okahandja 130km" turn left onto the gravel road
  • After 10 km enter the gate of Okonjima Nature Reserve and continue a further 14 - 16 km to Okonjima Lodge.
