Henties Bay is an Popular holiday town located about 70km north of Swakopmund. Henties Bay is especially popular amongst anglers and 4x4 enthusiasts. There are a number of 4x4 routes to explore the Namib Desert such as the Messum Crater Route, Omaruru Route, Welwitschia Route, Brandberg West, The Mineral Route, Doros Crater and the Ugab Menhir.

Visitors are requested to take note of the sensitive environment when driving on the beach and across the desert plains. Stick to existing tracks to prevent damage to the sensitive Lichen Fields, nesting sites of the Damara Tern that are threatened by habitat loss.
